Judson Scott

Judson Scott has performed Baroque music throughout his career. As an undergraduate at Baldwin-Wallace College he performed the Weihnachts Oratorium in the annual Bach festival and as a graduate student at New England Conservatory he won the Baroque Concerto competion playing the concerto for two trumpets by Manfredini with Paul Perfetti. Also while in Boston he performed regularly with Emmanuel Music with Craig Smith conducting, the only orchestra in America presenting the Bach cantatas in a liturgical setting. Recent performances on Baroque trumpet include the Northwest Sinfonietta, the St. Mary Chamber Orchestra (Littleton, Colorado),the Benevelent Order for Music of the Baroque (B.O.M.B.) and Baroque Northwest.

A former member of the Mexico City Philharmonic, Judson is currently a member of the Northwest Sinfonietta, the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra and the Bellevue Philharmonic. Of his performance with the Northwest Sinfonietta, Jen Graves of the News Tribune wrote simply, "Judson Scott, trumpet, performed brilliantly throughout."

Dr. Scott teaches trumpet at Univerity of Puget Sound. Additionally, he has performed locally with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Opera Company and the 5th Avenue Theatre, among others.

While in Boston he performed with ensembles throughout New England, including the Opera Company of Boston, the Emmanuel and Pro Arte Chamber Orchestras, and the symphony orchestras of Springfield, Portland (Maine), Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
